Kosovo 2020 & 2021 Stamps

Today's mail brings both the 2020 and 2021 stamps from Kosovo. The first set of 3 Covid themed postal stamps was issued by Kosovo on August 14, 2020 with the theme "Care, Covid-19". According to the Kosovo Post the stamps were issued to support public health safeguards in preventing the global Covid-19 pandemic. The stamps illustrate three messages of vital importance in efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19: wear a mask, physical distance, and personal hygiene. These together takes care of personal and collective health until the eradication of the virus. The second stamp to arrive is the 2021 Covid-19 stamp from Kosovo that was issued on January 28, 2021. It's theme is "White Coat Heroes" and is dedicated to the doctors and healthcare workers that have stood at the forefront of the Covid-19 pandemic. Chad Stamp

Today's mail brings a stamp from The Republic of Chad. This is another stamp managed by Stamperija but authorized for use in Chad. The mini sheet has 9 stamps depicting several different Covid-19 themes such as quarantine, covering coughs, going to the doctor when sick, washing hands and food, wearing masks, and social distancing. It also has a healthcare worker in protective equipment taking care of a patient and a scientist doing virus research. The souvenir sheet has 2 stamps with disinfectant workers spraying the virus.

Czech Republic Full Sheet

Today I received the full Covid stamp sheet from the Czech Republic that honors Rescue Workers and Firefighters. It was designed by Filip Heyduk and this is what he said in an interview about the stamp which can be found here . "At the beginning of May, I was approached by the Czech Post about designing a special stamp that would honor emergency service workers and all volunteers instrumental in managing the COVID-19 crisis. We all intensively experienced a new situation – there was a shortage of medical supplies, people made their own protective masks, which they delivered to hospitals and distributed among the needy. The facemask became a symbol of this time and an inspiration for my proposal. The subject of the postage stamp are six protective facemasks with graphic symbols representing various types of essential workers: healthcare professionals, soldiers, firefighters, police, postal workers and volunteers.
