India & Hong Kong Stamps

 Today's mail brings a mini stamp sheet with 4 Covid stamps from India. They were released on December 24, 2020 as a "Salute to Covid-19 Warriors".  Here is the full mini sheet

Also in today's mail are 2 Covid themed stamp sheetlets from Hong Kong. They were issued on December 29, 2020. The Hong Kong postal service describes them as:

Two stamp sheetlets will be issued to recognize the unsung heroes across the community and express gratitude for the central government's support to Hong Kong's anti-epidemic efforts.

 

One of the stamp sheetlets portrays the unsung heroes who strive to ensure the provision of essential services while fighting against the disease alongside Hong Kong people.

 

They include the healthcare professionals, research personnel, ambulancemen, uniformed group members taking care of quarantine centres, postmen and workers engaging in cleaning and disinfection work.

 

The other one depicts the central government's care and attention for Hong Kong.

 

Under the co-ordination of the National Health Commission, the Mainland nucleic acid test support team deployed members to assist Hong Kong with the Universal Community Testing Programme who were dedicated to working zealously days and nights at the temporary air-inflated laboratories.

 

Moreover, with the aid of the central government, a temporary hospital is under construction at a site near AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) and the existing community treatment facility at AWE was expanded.

 

All these show the central government's deep concern and unreserved support to Hong Kong in the fight against the epidemic.
