Today's mail bring Covid-19 stamps from Sri Lanka and Transnistria!
Sri Lanka issued a set of 4 stamps "Rise Up Defeating Covid-19" on October 9, 2020. I cannot find an official description of the stamps as the release notice states only what Covid-19 is, the timeline of Covid-19 in Sri Lanka, and the Covid-19 symptoms.
The mini sheet depicts the Sri Lankan people defeating the Covid-19 virus together* along with the 4 stamps:
The First Day Cover depicts solidarity among the Sri Lankan people fighting the virus in their own capacity while wearing masks* along with the 4 stamps:
Two of the stamps depict Frontline Workers. One with masks and the other with a globe which I take as fighting with the rest of the world*:
The other two stamps depict solidarity of the Sri Lankan people*:
* as there is not an official description of these stamps that I can find, these descriptions are my own interpretation of the stamps
The second stamps to arrive today are from Transnistria. As the world does not recognize this as a separate country from Moldova there is also no official description of this stamp set. It is a mini sheet with 8 people and the bottom states "Frontline doctors struggling with Covid-19"
