Today's mail brings both the 2020 and 2021 stamps from Kosovo.
The first set of 3 Covid themed postal stamps was issued by Kosovo on August 14, 2020 with the theme "Care, Covid-19". According to the Kosovo Post the stamps were issued to support public health safeguards in preventing the global Covid-19 pandemic.
The stamps illustrate three messages of vital importance in efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19: wear a mask, physical distance, and personal hygiene. These together takes care of personal and collective health until the eradication of the virus.
The second stamp to arrive is the 2021 Covid-19 stamp from Kosovo that was issued on January 28, 2021. It's theme is "White Coat Heroes" and is dedicated to the doctors and healthcare workers that have stood at the forefront of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is dedicated especially to the ones who have lost their lives while treating patients in Kosovo since the pandemic started. It is the Kosovo Post's showing of gratitude and respect.
